Joel's simmering displeasure with Reed's new, more scientific tornado tactics leads to harsh words and a falling out between the two long time partners.

Even as tornadic supercells continue to tear across Texas, a frustrated Sean heads to Oklahoma for a reunion with his old chasing partner, Josh Wurman and the massive Vortex 2 research project. Reed sees a different opportunity: challenge Josh's Doppler radar with his new military-grade mobile radar. The race for the holy grail of tornado data explodes as tempers flare, including an unhappy Joel who doesn't care much for Reed's new mission.

This and another portion of this episode is beginning to have overtones of very "cheap reality-tv." I really hope Discovery Channel doesn't edit this program to include too much of the stressful and embarrassing portions of the chases.

Its dumb to take a ford into a storm, it's dumber to figure a gm will have a chance, persoanally I'd build this around a '69 Dodge D600, w/ a 440/727, or a cummings 5.9 diesel , just cut your troubles down to nothing...

The TVN team is the best.....in 2008 and 2009 theiy use ordnoray methods to chase tornados..but in 2010 they use a radar...
