Every year I take a big motorcyle road trip. This year I toured the Southwestern United States looking for weird roadside attractions and oddities on my way to Ocean Beach for 10 days of surfing. I took a whole bunch of pictures, obviously, but I also shot some companion video to help remind me later where exactly I was at, etc. So, I spliced all the pictures together with the video to make an quick(ish) slide show...

Part 1 takes me from Denver, CO to Las Vegas, NV by way of Salt Lake City, UT and Reno, NV.

Some of the more notable things I visited in Part 1:
The Great Salt Lake, Metaphor Tree, Bonneville Salt Flats, The Loneliest Road in America, Middlegate Shoe Tree, Sound Mountain, Pneumatic Diner, Giant Prospector, Lake Tahoe, Clown Motel, Jack the VonderPooch

  • hey dude can i ask some thing do you pay to go trough one city to other

because i live in uk but i wana go to usa to travel from coast to coast

  • @grylo15 Typically, no. The U.S. has toll roads which you do have to pay to use, but they're usually highways designed to get you from point A to point B as quick as possible, which means you have to bypass all the cool towns and scenic stuff. The East coast is littered with toll roads, so it can be a task to avoid them. But usually there are highways that run almost parallel to the interstates, which is what I stuck to on my trip.

  • @grylo15 Other than tolls, the only thing you might have to pay for (other than food, gas, lodging) is entrance to any of the National Parks (Yellowstone, Estes, Death Valley, etc.) or other attractions along the way. Parks usually cost $5 - $25 for a 24 hour pass.

  • nice vid..... but its NEVADA.....not Novoda

  • haha, yeah it'll always be Nevahda to me...

I can't stand when Nevahdians (-ites?) call Colorado... Coloraaaaaado.
