THE shocking moment LA cops shot dead a man in broad daylight outside a fast food restaurant has been captured on video.
Amateur footage shows the hooded man leaving burger joint Carl's Jr armed with a hammer-like weapon — before TEN shots are fired by the police.
The so-far unnamed man had apparently been smashing windows.
After leaving the diner he is said to have refused to surrender to officers, instead walking towards them wielding his weapon.
The cops shoot him in the face with a Taser but the man is undeterred and simply pulls out the electric barbs before apparently lunging at the two officers.
One policeman then opens fire, shooting the man FIVE times.
He falls backwards and another officer fires a second blast of five shots.
The victim was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries. Police are now investigating the shooting.
The Sun has chosen not to show the full video of the incident, which was captured on a mobile phone by two teenagers.
An investigation is being launched after an unnamed man was shot ten times by Los Angeles police in broad daylight outside of a Carl's Jr restaurant in California.
According to reports, police were called to the scene after the man smashed out several windows at the fast food restaurant.
Once the man emerged from the building ... he was ordered by cops to drop his weapon, but refused to comply, which resulted in him was shot with a Tazer gun. (Which did little to nothing)
The man then retaliated and attempted to hit one of the officers with a three-foot metal pole, but before he could attack the officer who tazed him, another officer close by shot him five times.
The man was shot an additional five times after falling to the ground.

GIGLIO, Italy — The captain of the Italian liner Costa Concordia said he was told by managers to take his ship close to shore on the night it ran aground and capsized, but the company denied having any prior knowledge of the manoeuvre.
The daily La Repubblica published transcripts of a conversation Captain Francesco Schettino had with a person identified only as Fabrizio in which he implicates an unnamed manager of the vessel's owners, Costa Cruises.
"Fabri ... anyone else in my place wouldn't have been so nice as to go there because they were breaking my balls, saying 'go there, go there'," Schettino says in the conversation taped while he was being held following his arrest over the incident.
"...the rock was there but it didn't show up in the instruments I had and I went there ... to satisfy the manager, 'go there, go there'."
The conversation, in a thick Neapolitan dialect which the transcription translates into standard Italian, was apparently taped without the knowledge of Schettino. It was posted on the website of the newspaper.

SOUTHGATE, Mich. A mother offered up herself and her daughter this week for sex to pay off a debt at a Southgate pawnshop, the owner of the shop said Wednesday.
Al Hassan, a co-owner of DaSilva's Pawn and Exchange on Eureka, said the mother, believed to be in her mid-30s, came into the shop Monday night and offered him sex with her and her daughter, who he estimated to be 9-11 years old, if he agreed not to sell a laptop she pawned a few weeks ago for $120.
A $25 payment was due to keep the laptop from being sold, Hassan said.
Hassan said he quickly notified police and reported the incident to Children's Protective Services.
Southgate police confirmed they are looking into the allegations.
"It's still under investigation," Lt. Kasper Ohannasian said.
David Akerly, spokesman for the state Department of Human Services, said confidentiality laws prevent the state from commenting on individual cases, and he couldn't confirm that the state is investigating.
"I wasn't serious," the mother said. "I don't want to be considered a bad mother just because I needed some money for gas and groceries."

FORT WAYNE -- Michael L. Plumadore, accused of killing and dismembering 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon days before Christmas, will not learn his trial date until next month.
Plumadore, 39, appeared in Allen Superior Court on Wednesday for what was supposed to have been a date when attorneys and Judge John Surbeck decide on a preliminary trial date.
Surbeck granted Churchward's request and set the next hearing for Feb. 27.
