I uploaded my first recording, although I am far from being satisfied with it.. But, I feel that I have to make a start, so, here it is.. I may upload a better one in the near future when things are a little more relaxed for me to sing comfortably..

A few facts:

Recorded at home, using a midi file which I had to edit a little on Encore; some notes needed some corrections. And I added a few dynamic marks and so forth... I sung it from beginning to the end at once; no editing or vocal processing was done on the vocal track except for the addition of reverb. I tried to keep it as simple and plain as possible mainly to be able to hear my mistakes.

Antonio Vivaldi
Stabat Mater, RV 621
Mvt.I "Stabat Mater"

Stabat mater dolorosa
juxta Crucem lacrimosa,
dum pendebat Filius

In her sorrow stood the mother
by the cross of Jesus weeping
as he hung there, her dying son.

  • are you man or women? it's perfectly sung, very in style, great interpretation, just gorgeus, sorry i don't know if i wrotte it rigth, my english sucks. but excelent work anyway

  • @mmmmmmmmanuel I am a female alto. Thank you for your kind comment.

  • I wanted to appreciate the whole, not just a beautiful voice.

I also hope Eser will have a great ensemble to sing this piece with because she does have a very beautiful voice!!! I was not criticizing the singer but the sounds.

Everybody knows that strings as MIDI sounds are the worst! Also, MIDI distorts the intonation. Maybe a sampler would be more effective. The midi organ sounds fine.

  • @otavioandradas Not to worry. Most people here would agree with you that the accompaniment (if you call it that) is horrible. This was a very amateurish try by me as far as accompanying track goes since I knew next to nothing about MIDI files, and had no means back then to acquire a decent accompaniment other than this one. The ultimate goal, of course, is to find a small but sound ensemble. As for deleting this video, I have no intention to.

  • Well done

  • Beautiful voice! representing the altos well!

  • You have nice voice, so round and agreeable for listening :)

  • the voice is beautiful. shame about the electronic jibberish. It's a bit like serving exiquisite oysters in a rusty iron plate.

  • Especially thanks for displaying the notes synchronous to the sound!

    Very useful.

  • Very beautiful voice and good singing.

    Thank you!
