Salesperson: "Would you like extended warranty with that?"

Salesperson: "No no! Microsoft fixed that! but just in case (smile)..

I returned the Xbox to the store the next day following the red ring incident. The salesman very arrogantly proclaimed that I didn't plug it in properly. I challenged him to fix it in the store using one of the display TV's and for half an hour he proceeded to plug/unplug, switch cables, restart it until finally giving up and swapping the console for a new one.
I took the console and thanked him for wasting my time.
I have NO idea what was actually wrong with the console.. all I know is it didn't work.

@spockles Lol no they don't I have an Xbox Elite and Slim and yes they give of heat and I've even touched the heatsinks playing and the Elite runs super cool, hell its pulling cool-warm air out of the back and I've left it on playing Black Ops for 14 hours straight and it didn't give RROD and still pulled cold air out and it doesn't have the extra GPU heatsink either.

all models get it even the new ones with kinect the reason for the red rings is the 360 gets so damn hot inside it makes the soder come loose on the video card unbelievable microsoft still or wont fix this and why should they know most people have alot of games and will just buy another 360 console i had a 360 less than a year i rarely played it maybe 40 hours total and i got the red rings i use it now in the winter to warm my bathroom up wont play games but a hell of a heater
