Chandamamanu Choochi Voddama - Perla

Prince Rama Varma teaches a cute Kaivara Amara Nareyana Kriti tuned by Dr.Bala Murali Krishna in Kharaharapriya ragam, at Perla. This has a happy, peppy folk tune (to be sung in Madhyama shruti) and is very sweetly sung by the lovely children of Veenavadini Music School, Perla. I took this as an informal video when the teaching session was in progress. Varmaji once mentioned that as he teaches the students a new song, he also gets to learn it better. This is one such instance where he is teaching the Perla children a new song just learnt. Learning under him is a pleasure as he makes the classes interesting with lighter moments. It is heartwarming to see how the Guru and the Shishyas enjoy the teaching-learning experience!!
