its a battery strap. We have one that also has an inline switch to run the the lights and other things, but any battery strap will do. It's 0.50 cents at Radio Shack or other stores like it

we did not unscrew the screws for the steering wheel. They are still attached. so we did not need to put them back in for the steering wheel to trun they wheels.
