Antique Edison Disc Phonograph B-19 "Chalet" model in operation playing a Diamond disc with a song on it called, "MY WAIKIKI MERMAID-HULA MEDLEY" by The Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra, Edison catalog number 5298-5-7-26. The last pending trademark date listed on the ID plate is May 23, 1916. The "SM" number is _ _ _ _ 130 which makes it seem probable this is the 130th unit made. Research on this model shows that the wood used could be 'Wormwood' and not oak or mahogany.

Yeah---awkward size is right....so awkward I had to sell it. My SO wanted it out of the bedroom!! There were much better discs that went out the door with the player and I happen to grab one that was in poor shape for demonstration! I had no room to keep this set up---the guy that bought it got a real bargain.

Nice Chalet! Looks like its in lovely condition and sounds great!
I just got a B-19 a few months ago! Love it!
I think its gumwood that was used.
They are an awkward sized "table top" machine though!
