  • whats the first song your playing?

  • @sword6204 oh.. alright i might try to get phosphor bronze, i dont know if it just me or no, but my d'addario string ( came with the guitar the first time i bought) the last 3 high string is very greyed i dont know whether its rusty or if it has been on GC shelf for some time lol..

I prefer the Phosphor Bronze because they tend to sound brighter at first & mellow out a bit after use but still have enough brightness to cut through when playing guitar solos. D'Addario EXP's are okay, but every time I order some it tends to be a "hit or miss" type of thing: One pack will be good, another pack feels as if it's been sitting on the shelf for a year and wears out very quickly. Elixir's, on the other hand, have always been consistent for me.

    Hope this helps.

What I mean is I've tried many different brands of strings both coated & uncoated. I also have to change strings quite often because I play in 2 bands. Elixir's are the best in my opinion. They keep their tone & sound new much longer, last longer than D'Addario, & have a better overall feel.
