OK, time to get back to Ernst Rolf then, and this time it is one of his earlier recordings. He made his first recording in 1910 (he has claimed himself that it was in 1908, since he celebrated 20 years as a recording artist in 1928, but any recordings made before 1910 hasnt been found yet and probably doesnt exist). This Concert Record Gramophone disc contains one of his earlier recordings (even though he was already a seasoned gramophone artist but it is one of the earlier Ive got in MY collection), recorded in Kristiania (which was the then used name for Oslo, Norway) November 13, 1914 and it is obviously made for the Norwegian market. The label even claims that Ernst Rolf is from Norway. From NORWAY! Hello?!?
Anyway, Ernst Rolf was very popular in Norway as well, so its only proper that he made recordings for his Norwegian fans. The song Bobby, du har hvist ondt I haaret, roughly translated: Bobby, Your hair seem to hurt = The Bobby mentioned seem to have a hangover.
