As soon as the assailant see's any other body movement that indicates anything but compliance, he will shoot. A head swerve/body jerk will instantly tell him that you are not going to comply. since he's already expecting to see your hands come up, that move must be quick as lightning and you must attempt it as soon as the gun is in your face. best defense if to arm yourself. (ever hear the saying "don't bring a knife to a gun fight") well don't bring a fist to a gun fight.

From what I've heard in other instructional videos about this issue, the assailant is already expecting to see your hands come up. it's a psychological thing, an automatic response that the assailant knows is coming, and is anticipating to see an arm motion in his peripheral vision. However he is not expecting a head or body movement, which in real life may cause him to shoot. and you can't move your head faster than he can turn that gun and point it back at your head and pull the trigger.

I dont see this as a "mistake' nomatter how you get the gun out of the bad guys hand as long as you do it without getting anyone hurt,(other then the bad guy),is a good job.

I say this if by "mistake" you are talking about the gun flying out of the bad guys hand and not being taken away. I wouldnt care if it was knocked away with a bag of poop as long as it was out of the bad guys hand,

I watch a lot of youtube videos about gun point defense and I felt you're the man.

So I went to your website and confirm I was right.

About 20 years ago, an NBI agent (FBI in the US) in our country, went to a dojo to serve a warrant of arrest to the teacher and master for killing his wife.

When they face each other the aikido expert challenge the agent that he has to drag him for the arrest.

The officer pulled his gun and point it to the masters face.

The master tried to get the gun but the officer quickly move his gun (in a curve) to his left and upward and hit the side of the neck of the martial artists.

The master lost hi conciousness. So my question is what would you do if the bad guy has the skills of the agent?
