@Tiwaz81 And by the way it is your leaders that best know how to sacrifice for money. we see this in the modern times. it is still what churchill had dictated. your soldiers are slaughtered in a place where they should have no business. even tony blair has stated he regrets it now :) and more on sacrificing for money poor australian farmers who were paid for the gallipoli expedition. everyone also knows england is the country that exploits other countries. shame on your leaders actually.

@Tiwaz81 before even saying you could have avoided it. i guess u forgot about Turkey's geological significance. instead of stating your leaders etc. lets talk facts. Turkey was under pressure from both sides.so they had to pick one side or the other there was no avoiding there. it has also been revealed that Turkey was looking more in favor of Britains side rather than the Germans however they did not have support. because britain had other intentions. control of gallilopli thus superior at sea

''The Anzacs left Gallipoli without hatred in their hearth for their enemy or bittterness at the incompetence of their own high command.'' A.K Macdouggall, Australian historian.

''Turks have treated our captured men and officers excellently.'' The diary of Au Official corres C.E.W Bean
They( Turks) were fighting for their country. Good and fair fighters. No. They fought very fair honestly like us. Both sides lost their valuabel men. [ E.W Barlett was born in Aus 1891.11 light horse regiment. One hundred years old. He was one of last two hundred who left the Dardanelle]

Through the history Britain enslaved blacks, Australians, native Americans and many more. When I talk with Australians visit Turkey they tell me they dont understand what the heck they were doing on Gallipoli. Britain cheated, manipulated and forced to fight against Turks. They have been in a fight which they were never believed in.

@barbaros1passa I will say this. Ataturk was a true soldier. Probably better than anything Germany, Britain, the USA or France had in this war. Also a very noble sentiment that it does him credit.
The Ottoman-Turks did indeed win the Gallipoli campaign. They fought a well organised and admirable defensive action which made the British, French and Anzac positions on the peninsula untenable. The Turks as a result could breath easy as their capital city was protected from massive coastal bombardment-desinged to kiill thousands.
Also you will find that rich men die as easily as poor men.

for all u saying turkey "won" at galipoli, i ask against whom did they win? australian soldiers were landed on the wrong beach by british commanders who were happy to let my countrymen grind themselves into the sand and made to storm highly forified cliffs. there are no winners in war. only governments and the rich they represent profit from it.
