Mika on Morning Joe: Pastor Coverage Has Been Balanced

While responding to a viewer email on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski claims that they've covered Hagee as much as they did Wright, and that the Rev. Wright situation "injected itself" into the news cycle. I don't think so Mika.

The e-mailer was correct and Mika is conpletely wrong.Hagee didn't get that much coverage and we still don't know who John McCain or Hillary's pastors are.The Wright mess was covered non-stop on tv for weeks.How is that balanced???

Not so: Rev. Wright responded to weeks and weeks of reaction to a video clip from years ago that was dug up and released to embarrass Obama.

Rev. Wright was sought out by Bill Moyers, the NAACP and the Press Club to respond.

Trinity Church has been vilified and slandered in the press as being "revolutionary", "black separatist" and "cult-like".

Where does Hillary and McCain worship, indeed?

Folks, I am telling you, I work with Mika, and she is retarded. This just happens to be an obvious lie: "Hagee [was] covered as much..."

What? Hey, asshole, I had to endure three and a half weeks while we ran this as the lead. So save the shit. Hagee was covered (virtually in comparison) for maybe a week. And not with the expressed outrage that Wright endured.

If you can't be intellectually honest, at the very least, then get a new job, Mika.

you obviously don't watch this show often. i give her a lot of respect for putting up with scarborough's crap. she's assertive and graceful. i don't really agree with what she said here, but unlike you I've seen the show many times and I know she's not a poor journalist. So yes I will go easy on this. This story's gotten blown a little out of proportion on the blogosphere. Did you know her dad is Zbigniew Brzezinski. Pretty cool I think. I like em both.

Rev Mike Hagee hasn't been flamed much but apparently Revs Pfleger and Wright has.

This is a travesty indeed, but don't flame Brzezinski. She's just doing her job, which is to carry the truth to us viewers and voters alike, unlike some journalists.

She's a journalist. Go easy on asking a journalist to admit the truth? to be balanced and not make up things to make life easier for her to work with an conservative? No one is asking her to make an Obama girl youtube video. What's so wrong with expecting and demanding these journalists to be balanced regardless of who they do or don't support?
