  • wow..that's alot of fertilizer!..dolomitic lime would be a great addition as well

  • @stymye true, however, since tomatoes are such heavy feeders, I did not want to take any chances. Believe it or not, my soil test came back with a 6.1 ph, perfect for veggies and rare for my typical acidic Georgia soil, hence I got to skip the lime this year! Thanks for the comment! - Mark

  • It looks like you're doing a truck garden this year? You're planning on selling produce? Otherwise you are literally going to be buried alive in produce. LOL Excellent demo Mark! :)

Yukon Gold potatoes are insanely good.

  • @Praxxus55712 Well. . . actually, we are planning on selling vegetables this year! Eventually, we would like to be full time farmers, however, that is a long way away. So, we thought we would just "pretend" this year and set up a little market stand on the farm. We'll see how we do! Thanks for the comments Ray! - Mark

  • I am using homemade fertilizer, bloodmeal, bonemeal, kelp meal, lime, this year, we will see how it goes. I also did put some powder milk for extra calcium, when I planted my tomatoes.

Thanks for sharing, hope to see more videos. By the way I bought some of the sequoia strawberries from blooming bulbs after seeing your last video, I still have to plant them out this weekend.

  • @loveofvegetables Ahhh, this looks like a good mix too! In fact, reading your powered milk for calcium reminds me that I forgot to put Epsom salts in my mix (also good for calcium). I usually use this to prevent blossom end rot, which is due to a calcium deficiency! - Mark

  • @SleepIsMagic 3 kids equals 3 gals of milk a week over a year and yes we have TONS of milk jugs. :) But, this is a pretty good use for them! -Mark

  • @blowuputube Thanks! While I have seen this done before, this is the first time I have ever done it myself! - Mark
