Mackinac Island Carriage Ride 2010

Once we got off the boat at Mackinac Island we took a carriage ride around the island and it took us to all the sweet sights like The Grand Hotel, Rock Archway, Fort Mackinac, The Post Cemetery where they fly the flag at 1/2 staff all year 1 of 3 the others being Arlington National Cemetery and Gettysburg. It was a great time for me and my family. Schmoo

Holy crap. Is Larry Prince still there? I am 41 now.  We must have visited there when i was 12 or 13. The horses names were Red and Toby. I'll never forget that.

When I was a kid you could rent a horse and ride all over the island. Can you still do that? My dad knew the riding stable guy so my brothers and I got to ride all day. Great memories.

I loved working on Mackinac. Dr. Bill and Jimmy Chambers are two of the finest men I have every worked for. I met many great people there: Gary McDonnel, Mike Beaudin, Steve Johnson, Tom Fiedler, the Dowdy brothers, Larry Prince, Tom Shippley, the Weston brothers, good guys, great tour guides, fine buggy drivers, all!
