there is a spring in master cylinder to push to piston back , that spring is broken and piston cant come all the way back and cant open the oil feed hole , replace spring if you can , or master cylinder this is the solution
Its been over 3 years so i know the issue is either fixed or he car is gone. Its the Clutch pedal assembly. The pedal assembly is worn, this can only happen on 1G DSMs. It either has to be welded or a new pedal assembly installed.

"theres a bolt that connects the system to the master cylinder... it has came looose....its tight enough to let the slave cylinder move but once the slave cylinder hits the pressure plate the bolt slips...just look at it and see if it needs to be tightend"
I had that same problem but what u do is u make the rod on the slave cylinder shorter, if ur car just revs high when ur driving and it doesn't go anywhere that is the problem the rod is too long and engages ur clutch whenever it wants to

just adjust your pedal from the master cylinder i just did that and it fixed it on my 96 talon tsi
