Paragliding in Slovenia

A mellow afternoon in September, soaring on a ridge to the north of Kobarid in the Soca valley in NW Slovenia. It was hot and thermic and this was my first attempt at handheld video whilst flying. I will have to rig up a helmet mount or something next time. Music is supplied unknowingly by the awesomely talented mr Hall AKA Moby.

You know, watching this video again in all its 'lo-definition' splendour, it occurs to me that much of the popularity it has enjoyed must be due in no small part to the most mellow and fitting work of Mr Richard Melville Hall (AKA Moby to the uninitiated).

This clip however, has some degree of topical currency, since a few of us are soon to be revisiting this wonderland of free flight.

Thanks paunovicpn! Hardly great really, but I'm trying to rig something up for future attempts. What I really need is a bullet style camera and some more captivating subject matter, but I'll keep trying!
