I had this shot about a year ago during a 128 ball run during practice. I was at 112 balls and came up short on my break bal position. This was the only shot option I had, and it worked. I posted about it in the azbilliards Straight pool forum and made a diagram - many people thought the shot was impossible - so I set it up a few days ago and tried it again - and I made it on the 2nd try.

  • @BlackjackDSapolis do you have a vid of your 128 ball practice run ?

  • @TheWillsmith13

No, I did not videotape that run.

  • Do you have a link to the diagrams on AZB?

    (neat shot!)

  • @Wink946

Not allowed to post link in youtube comments, but I will send you the diagram on azbilliards.

  • How would you aim that? Just like a bank shot? I'm not sure cause the impact surface is round as opposed to a flat rail.

  • @Descente36

Look at the second to last row of balls - and I aim to carom the object ball off the stack on the edge of the end ball in that row. High english - and with the correct angle, it will go in like a charm every time. I have quite a few more videos of shots like this that will be in a 14.1 DVD.

  • ur a hell of a shot, nice ass stroke

  • @BlackjackDSapolis oh, shame. awesome shot though

  • @Descente36 learn what a carom shot is. once you, shots like these become second nature if you practice it enough.

  • I have seen and played that shot before but not at such an extreme angle. I will have to try it. Thanks.

  • That shot is "dead". We used to play that shot all the time. 40 years ago!

  • nice one..

  • Have seen and shot this before myself from various positions.........not a high percentage at long range, but definitely makeable and a crowd pleaser.
