Why such high pressure? These nozzles are designed to work at 3-5psi and I have seen other youtube videos with them working at low pressures. I also notice you have no air blower fan to provide high volume low pressure air to the burn chamber (some people even use an open tube configuration with no fan)...maybe this is why you need so much air pressure on your nozzle. I bet your flame chamber is actually oxygen starved.

Oil self-feed is really creative! Congratulation! :)

@TheMrTinker pretty cool.

It looks like it was starved of oxygen thats why it ran on spits and spats

@TheMrTinker Yup that happens as you turn the air off. :) runs fine when at pressure, although I added a blower port on the side of the tube. Just haven't had time to play with that.

Very cool. I had a waste oil burning in my shop for all the oil changes on the equipment. Now it looks like a great idea for prepping.

@bigc028282 Yeah this thing could be very modular. (or you can make multiple) I plan on this being used for a forge as well as an aluminum foundry but could easily be adapted to a furnace, boiler, maybe even a wood stove. Just need power to run the compressor.
