And the next sentence is either...ok, let's get this over with...or...honey, can I get another drink?

this is fab! donna theodore was in the broadway show "shenandoah" and the song is from a 1958 broadway show ,"oh captain!", introduced by abbe lane! love seeing all the half-naked gay guys dancing around donna

She can sing (did she ever have a solid career, I hope?), she is ineed strikingly beautiful, the song has that "traditional" jazz style, and the stereotypes of the time must have been oppressive. However, I'd be less than honest if I said anything else but that I enjoyed it.
And I agree: the guys look hotter for each other than her.

Donna and the 50's Wiggles.

@sixtiessyl Yes. Being open meaning being mentally free from the false concept of feminine morality = so little sex as possible = oppressing her natural sexuality (= mental problems as Freud found out).

...brings the men to my vicinity. Lol.

@WhatIsFemininity or, simply, about the predicament of being a sexually open woman, which was not the kind men wanted to marry in those days (and some still don't, I'd say)
She swings. The guys look like extras from Star Trek... lol.
