272 cam wrx....Built with my hands and time

Brian Crower 272 intake cam, 272 exhaust cam, BC springs and retainers, BC valves, Cosworth head gasket, ARP head studs, TurboXs TBE catless, COBB stage 2. But car was totaled recently when someone pulled out in front of me. All the work done to this car was done by friends and myself.

Hey man, do cammed wrx's still have that boxer rumble when you push it? Because i know that headers will take the rumble away....

@sergsrt8 Ya it still has that sound and then some. The headers do kind of ruin the sound but overall its still an amazing sounding motor with cams. My video doesnt do the sound justice.

@UWISHPROD it sure doesn't. i'm listening to your engine on my cpu that's hooked up to a hi fi audio system...sounds lean and mean brother good job. wish i can do the same to my 08 wrx

sorry to hear such a culmination of mechanical skills and passion totaled...but very very clean and i love the wheels! and youre right, I'm always hard pressed to find a cammed subie or any boxer style engine for that matter. very nice!

aftermarket cams open the valves quicker, sooner ,longer or a combo thereof. allowing more air/fuel mixture into the chamber. more mixture, bigger boom. bigger boom, more power.

cool wait igot the same cams 272 brian cower street setup eh but did u change the wrap around pipe it would sound beefer rite now running on 24 psi vf stock turbo also rite now got about but rite now my own kinda lump also bouth there steel valves and intake and exhaust and retainer kit and the 3inch cat back exhaust on meth with 750cc injectors and hks bov

@sergsrt8 Correction. EQUAL length headers take away the rumble. You can get unequal length headers that will ruble just the same as stock.

@VF52LGT I had my machine shop do the bucket sizing which he had extra buckets. If it wasn't for him I couldn't have done the cams. reusing the stock buckets don't always work cause the new cams would be a cunt hair off and you would need a new size bucket. Very hard to explain but hope it helped.
