there are so many harder games from the 16-bit era and before. And that's the charm I find in retro games even though I obviously was not alive then. You had to be really tough, badass, and spend alot of time memorizing patterns and levels and such. In return, that made you a better gamer. In any case, sonic 2,3, and sonick and knuckles are far superior games though
