  • @SPAZZOBOXER wow..and wow again...know your post is over 2 years old but just seeing these videos...and I could not say anything that would add to your post...and I agree cause I saw them too...they kicked ass!

  • @SPAZZOBOXER - Not completely - I was in a rock band in the mid 70s and played in the Baltimore-DC area clubs and there were a lot of MTH fans. We covered "Violence" and "One of the Boys" and always got a standing crowd on both songs. MTH was considered sort of an underground band and had a solid US fan base - if Ian Hunter had only went with them on their 76' US tour. The Mott fan base was growing and if they just could have held on, they would have made their mark. I'm sure of it.

  • Very Rare footage Here!! What A Real Treat! Thinking heralds from Don Kirshner's Rock Concert, 73 am guessing here?

  • @ifuckdinosaurs Ha! Tell the fag! One of the great bands of the classic rock era!

  • Smok'in!

  • ariel bender a worthy guitar replacement for mick ralfs, but not a songwriter. if that get up he has on predates kiss, well, steal from the best, i always say.

  • classic

  • @glishteach Trust me, I know the differences, having grown up in the 70s listening to everything and playing guitar for 30 years. Most glam rocker guitarist profiles were Les Pauls through Marshall stacks and stylistically, not too different. It was about rock theater. I placed blues influenced guitarists of that decade on a much higher plane: Clapton, Beck, Rory Gallagher, Robin Trower, Johnny Winter, or jazz influenced guitarists like Steve Howe, Frank Zappa, or even spacey David Gilmour.

  • @KUTVgroucho Maybe you could switch Grosvenor and Ronson and not tell the difference, if you don't actually listen to music or know anything about it! According to to you, Ronson, Frehley and Grosvenor(AKA Bender)

    sound the same.

  • I saw them in 1974- loved 'em then, love 'em now.

  • What an awesome band! Without Mott there would be no Sex Pistols, Guns & Roses or Nirvana.

  • @ColinDOYLE100 Fucking idiot. So you are calling one of the top glam bands in rock history a slacker band? Where are you from, the U.S.? They had a lot more influence than All the Young Dudes you tool.

  • @wreese1947 Mick?

  • @ColinDOYLE100 you are an idiot

  • @ColinDOYLE100 SLACKERS MY ASS

  • Was this after The Hoople was recorded?? Ariel was no Mick Ralphs, but "The Golden Age of Rock n Roll is still pretty good... But if you want to compare "Crash Street Kids" to " One of the Boys", you're absolutely crazy. This must have been after Mick Ralphs " appeared to be in Bad Company"... Quote from the backside of "the Hoople".

  • @talkingwall No Chuck Berry no rock music. No Beatles no modern rock music.

  • @Jubeju71 Yes, the shoulder pads and the hair style, combined with 4th generation video, offers a vaguely Ace Frehley look. But hey, not much difference in the playing styles of Frehley and Luther Grosvenor (Ariel Bender), to my ears, anyway, and I grew up listening to both in the 70s. You could switch Bender and Mick Ronson and not really tell.

  • Ian jammin' those two chords!!!

  • Keep strummin' Mick!!!!

  • @timnapalm I think it's a reference to the shoulder pads...

  • Why is You tube just counting my views?

  • No Mott, No Clash, No Clash, No U2 and so on and so forth.

  • @CountRegular Ace couldn't even play.

  • @timnapalm Ace was probably there taking notes to see how it's done.

  • @SPAZZOBOXER Bet no one remember's the critic's name.

  • @gwddd That has got to suck LOL
