Sonny Moore and Emily

Everyone, Emily is not dead.

Also, Sonny and Emily have nothing to do with this video, I made it out of sheer boredom one day, and this is what it has turned into. So once again, I reiterate, Emily is not dead, despite popular belief and her nor Sonny are associated with this video.

I would like to add that Sonny and Emily never dated, they were just best friends, and the song was written by Sonny before he even joined the band and he and Emily knew each other before he joined the band. If it makes you feel better and helps you to sleep at night, to believe that they dated and that this poem was really written by Emily, then go ahead.
I made this video before I knew all of this information, so that is why it says what it does at the beginning.

In all honesty, this was probaly not really Sonny. It was probaly just an imposter, no one knows for sure except for Sonny and Emily. But here is what was allegedly posted to Sonny's Skrillex account blog:
People are probably wondering who the song "Emily" is about. Is it about Jon Weisberg's girlfriend or my ex girlfriend? Lets clear this shit up right now. First off, it wasn't written by Jon and it wasn't written by just myself either. It was written by the both of us. At the time, we were both dating girls named Emily and we thought what better way to show our emotions and feelings to them than to write a song. So that's what we did. Jon and his girlfriend are still together. But Emily and I split up a long time ago. We actually met on the internet on Myspace. One of her friends had gotten her into liking our band after showing her our old Myspace. She sent us a message and I had gotten back to her on my own personal account and added her to my friends list. We talked on aim and shit and when the guys and I went off to do a show in Baton Rouge, I finally got to meet her in person. After that, there were a few trips to Rouge and what not when I had free time. We however, split up because I'm not good at long distance relationships. I cheated on her when I was on Warped with my band. I told her what had happened because I didn't want to lie. Honesty means a lot to me. I apologized for it but we both could see that the relationship we had was at an end. I can recall that night on which we did break up. We cried on the phone together. I'm not one to cry, but I felt like such a bastard for letting her down like that.
