After the first couple of episodes, Tracy Ryan found her footing as the character and was pretty good the rest of the way through. The problems with the show were not of her doing, and I enjoyed the concept of a little bit older college student Nancy. But the running time of the episodes was just over twenty two minutes which meant the mysteries were rather simple and way too easily concluded. Everything seemed rush. And the low low budget didn't help either.

They absolutely messed up Nancy's character! I was so excited when there was going to be a series but was greatly disappointed. Watched about 10 minutes then turned it off. However, they did nail George and Bess, that's exactly how I imagined them when I read the books. And at least they got her blue mustang right.

@WithurShield Thank you for the thoughts, Withur. I agree they nailed George and Bess. I gotta say I still love Tracy Ryan's Nancy character. She's smart and confident. She also doesn't appear to care that much about Ned, which is the way a lot of the books are, at least the early ones that I'm most familiar with. It's not the greatest series in the world, but I think I paid $16 or something for the DVDs and felt it was worth the price. Thank you for stopping by!

Whoa. That is SO not Nancy as I envision her...who does Nancy's voice in all of the Her Interactive Nancy Drew PC games? That voice actress should play Nancy Drew in a movie. Those games rock, and so does that Nancy. Just saying.

@vedashreeJk Pamela Sue Martin was excellent. In the end, I like Tracy Ryan's Nancy character, but Pamela Sue Martin is a big favorite of most people who have an opinion.
