  • @renumeratedfrog He was lamenting his pawn push, "f5", which fatally weakened his pawn structure.

  • I thought Hammer could play Kf6 instead of pushing that pawn and giving it away...on the other hand, I'm looking sideways at it...

  • Would have also like to have seen what was going on in the Finegold-Seirawan game in the back ground.

  • Nakamura, like many great chess players, is really good at calculating in his head. But another skill they have is picturing the entire board and keeping track of all pieces as they process several different possible combos/variations/etc. Check out Naka when he briefly looks into the air around the one min mark - that's your demise he's calculating.

  • i love how nakamura repeatedly uses his queen to anchor a minor piece advance ( against all chess theory) , but yet hes 6th in the world in ranking.
