Team Charlie goes to launch their rocket for a practice attempt on a beautiful day at Sixty Acres Park. Little did they know that the motor was about to CATO and fry the entire booster section of their rocket!
At least it wasn't a forgotten ejection charge on a 750ft flight (2009 Rules) on a practice flight before the Finals. Left a hole 1ft deep, courtesy of the rocket that eventually won 2nd in nationals for the '09 year.
Yes it is a warrenty call to Aerotech. I have seen a few of late that have come up to pressure enough to leave the launch guide then quit, but this is the first I have seen go complete cato in that manner with the exception of a couple single use motors which catoed 15 into the lift off. I think they have an issue whith their new, cheaper AP supplier. Keep up the good work with the kids and hope they get to nationals.
the forward closure part that hold the delay and ejection charge is missing. I hope that doesn't happen to my 29/40-120 casing

Not aerotech's fault, it's whoever built the engine. Have had the same problem numerous times. It has to do with an o- ring inside.
