Not everyone who gets help from the gov't is lazy, my mother works literally everyday- with the mentally handicap, making barely above minimum wage- but she can't make ends meet. We don't like it, but we'd go without eating if she didn't get food stamps and even then, food is scarce. And the neighborhood thing, we live in a small town where the economy isn't great- I'm having a hard time finding work- but we try to help other when we can but not everyone shares that sentiment

@catothewiser hahaha. Nice. I hate to admit stereotypes are true, but in this case they are. African americans are poor and will not work. There are exceptions, but a lot of them live off the government, taking money from people who actually earned it. For those who are poor and still try to balance jobs and kids and all that, they are the ones I like. I cannot stand the fat ones that don't do anything and live off welfare.

I happen to agree about gov't checks. All things like this should be handled by voluntary help from neighbors and people who want to help. But there are hungry children in America. Yes, it's the lazy ass parents who are to blame. Maybe it's time to go back to the old days when someone didn't take care of their family the neighborhood got together and beat their sorry ass.
