I like how they say specially processed for a rich flavour. I mean we now know that those special processes were the addition of immensely harmful, unnecessary chemicals. I love this commercial, it really shows the values of the time, or at least the portrayed values.
vmfon: one day my dad was riding a bike on a bike path and was attacked by people who were trying to rob him and the people he was with. Had he not been wearing a helmet he would've died. The helmet has also saved many, many lives and I thank God everyday we have them. Times may have been different back then! You could probably ride a bike/go skating without fear of someone trying to jump you. Love the flintstones, but this ad, I don't know. Many people have sadly died from smoking...:(
well if you think that the smoking is the only thinng "Adult" in the Flintstones, it turns out Fred and Wilma were the first couple shown in bed together on tv...ah no there only sleeping or lying in it but still its another useless piece of trivia
Psalm 22:26: The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek Him: your heart shall live for ever.

You've got a point there. It's funny old cartoons with cigarettes (esp. those doing commercials) attract more attention than the cigars. I think I always just saw the cigars in old cartoons as more of a humorous prop that defined the character. Cigarettes served the same purpose with Andy Capp. He always had one dangling from his lips!
