This is the very first magic trick I learned that inspired me to take the art up as a hobby. The first version I learned was from my cousin in Hong Kong, Kenny Leung. I then modified the presentation a bit after watching Oz Pearlman's performance. As a final touch, I added the second half thanks to my magic mentor, Jon Armstrong. Enjoy.

  • Sweet move mate. Very smooth. I've been a magician for many years but still have gotten around to rubber bands. Will have to one day. Good for close up magic. Top effort.

  • @briancorrie Thanks Brian! Throwing a video up on YouTube is like throwing yourself into shark infested waters. You don't know how many times I had to record this to get "the move" done well enough to not blatantly give it away.

Very cool you been a magician for a while. When I was doing it, I loved rubber bands because they're common and everywhere. Not like having to carry around a deck of cards.

  • I bet he goes to MIT.

  • @quikflow USC actually :)

  • Nerd no lifer much?

  • Yeah. That was true two years ago when I recorded the video. It's funny how things change over time...

  • this was my first magic trick as well, apart from Criss Angels lipstick trick. You do this one really good- sweet!

  • Great addition with the second bit but I would advise you do the first transposition much slower and possible use smaller bands... I've been doing a routine based on this effect for over ten years and it never fails to amaze the audience. Nice work <]:o)

  • he switches his fingers its simple!
