I completely disagree, and you are foolish to suggest otherwise. Seatbelts are worn in cars, rock climbers wear harnesses and motorbikers wear helmets... because nothing can be predicted. Even in an apparently well trained animal you should wear a safety hat. It is completely irresponsible to suggest otherwise as you do not know what may affect that horse (and rider), or when. No one can possibly be a totally safe horse rider, it is always a risk, but why then further risk a fatal head injury?

i love parelli and i love there horses! i want to learn more about them. pats wife is linda parelli. i never rode a horse before but soon i am going to ask my friend if i could ride her horse and go on trails. in the summer i think her mom is letting me ride a horse and is teaching me about horses. i cant wait for summer!

i want to go to one of these tours so badly! I've been doing parelli with my horse and it has helped SO MUCH! i dont understand why people think it makes their horse dangerous or doesnt work when really they probably didn't have enough patience to keep trying or did it wrong. ever since ive been doing parelli my horse follows me around, responds to the lightest suggestion, and respects me. plus, we're only just starting level 2!

They are operating as a team, no force. The big green ball has helped my young horse get used to cars etc as having something coming along fast up behind him used to make him panic, now he is braver because we can play with this ball in safety of the arena. He likes to play with it now, roll it along and bite it, this helps your horse want to be with you for fun and play, they look forward to spending time with their human! Enough slavery - lets work on team building, trust and respect!

i think that most people will not get to this skill level of this video and that it is not realistic for most. it shows people what can be done but it takes alot of money and time to get to this kind of level

i have seen clinton anderson in person and i have watched parelli and i have had trainers that were old school to a point. Clintons training helped me a great deal , i think training depends totaly on the horse not all forms of training work for all horses and you need to find what works. i think old school training with some natural horsemanship was what worked for my horse.

@MissFaithyHope: I have to agree with you on that! Western riders (me, beeing one myself, beginner) should wear helmets as everybody else! I adore Par Parelli, Jean Francois Pignon and a little bit Monty Roberts - but do them wear helmets when they ride? Nope! Except from Jean; they both ride western - and all they (and other western riders) have on their head, is a hat made of leather or filt!
