you may find that the ambition to become a pilot is more exciting than actually achieving your goal. YOU find that in life. WHen you achieve your ambition it turns out to be not as great as you thought it would be. Its very strange. It's the excitement and thought about doing something that can actually be better than the actual doing it for real. If you achieve your ambition it turns out a dissapointment and then if you don't achieve it you become annoyed. elimination is a higher goal

Becoming an airline pilot was my dream because my dad is a captain for Cathay Pacific and ive been on some trips with him and it's a fucking awesome job. The thing is I gave up on this dream because the commitment. My dad was a floatplane pilot in the NWT for years making a shitty wage, and was also in the military before he made the majors, it's just a commitment I'm not willing to do. This is also including all the training you have to do and the cost is very expensive.

So are there many airlines still opperating 3 crew cockpits with the flight engineer and two pilots or has the mordern fly by wire technology really taken grip because now most mordern planes are just big computers being manipulated by pilots is there really still any compelling reason to become a pilot, it cirtainly seems much less appealing to me.
