Just walking through some settings on the clean and distortion channels of this newly acquired kickass amp. I go through different preamp gain settings, tweak the EQ a bit, then toggle the boost off and on for each channel.

I'm using my R8 Les Paul with the stock BurstBucker 1/2 pickups and a Marshall 1960BV 4x12" cab loaded with the "Marshall Vintage" Celestion speakers.

  • Does this amp have independent volumes for each channel? thanks!

  • @carvindc400 Yes, there's a channel volume on the clean channel and one on the gain channel. There's also a global master volume on the back.

  • in your opinion do you like this amp better than the slo that you've used?

  • @ryansanders888 Yes, I liked the OD100 SE+ more than the SLO. It can be tighter and more modern sounding, but is also just a kickass rock tone. The SLO was awesome, don't get me wrong. But the OD100 was more my style I think. Both amps rock!

  • hey chris have u played the pt100. I'm trying to decide between the slo 100 or pt100.

  • No I sure haven't. I played an OD50 Standard years ago and didn't walk away too impressed. But for some reason, now I'm SUPER impressed with this SE+. I'm guessing I just didn't get enough time with the Standard.

    Never heard a PT, though.

  • Sounds great mang

  • Really is a nice sounding amp bro! I thought about what you said in another post on this amp and I might really have to find one to test! I thought about the OD-100 Classic which is more PLexi-ish. To be honest though, with a Plexi style amp....you have to really be on your game 100% of the time because they are so clean and responsive. It gets stressful, LOL! I find I do prefer the added gain of an amp like this. :-)

  • Wow man, thanks!

  • I love your playing and that amp is super sweet - post more videos! I am a fan!!!

  • Thanks! I agree with the first part! :)

  • That Amp Rocks Man !!

Your an amazing Guitar player !!

  • Yeah!

  • ahhhh ya got me! i'm actually sitting here holding 2 guitars, one hand is playing Lay it Down and the other, is playing Unchained. :)

  • do you still have the renegade?

  • Oh c'mon man, I know you would secretly like to crank up the high gain channel on this amp and bang out as many '80s cock rock riffs as possible! Admit it!

  • I can't keep up with the new amps anymore!! Sounds good though...the cleans and mid gain tones sound very very good. Not as big of a fan of the high gain stuff, but I'd have to hear it in person. SLAB!

  • Thanks everyone. Compared to the SLO, I'd say this OD100 can be much tighter and more aggressive. It's kind of a similar comparison between the 6505+ and the SLO. Both the 6505+ and the OD100 are tighter and "meaner" if you want.

The cool thing about this OD100 is that the "feedback" knob on the back can make it squishier and not as aggressive. Pretty darn cool amp!

  • Sounds great! What are your thoughts about this against the SLO?

  • You rock the Charvel too, but the LP is def your guitar, dude. Very cool playing and thats a killer amp, no doubt.

  • sounds amazing
