You can twist Scripture to say whatever you want it to say, but in the end, the truth always comes out. Turn the other cheek, give to him who takes from you, be gentle to everyone and forgive those who hurt you 70 times 7 times. "Thou shalt not kill" does not mean you may treat those who do kill with the same unkindness they have shown. Check out Matthew 5:38-48.

In other words, "Thou shalt not kill".
Unless it is war, and your family is threatened.

same issue with peadophiles if you go overkill on the sentencing they will only take steps to prevent their exposure like killing their victims. Knee jerk reactions are never good, i personally consider a life time of knowing you will never do anything of note, value or even in full autonomy much worse then a quick or even painful death
