Linux Mint 12 "LISA": Part 2 Overview

This is the second part of my Mint-A-Thon series. I am going insane, and I am taking all of you with me! That's Right! We are going to have lots of fun with this operating system from installation to customisation! I will attempt to cover every important detail. I am going to break packages and rebuild them if necessary! So strap yourselves in, this is going to be one heck of a wild ride!

a funny thing happened. i was noticing some differences in your version of mint and mine. i realized i used my last dvd to burn linux mint 11. somehow the download got mixed up :( is there any way to update to the new version using just the iso?

@jamstrong8916 You can try doing a distro upgrade ... Mint community site is down right now so I cannot give you the command line fix... Personally I would use the mint 12 DVD and do a fresh install...

recomending linux mint for beginners to try. so i kept digging, came across part one of your mint-athon. enjoyed it very much so i downloaded the iso. went to bed. then started watching part two. put that on hold to install linux mint. (along side win7) I just enjoy your videos so much. you captivate the viewer, i feel like you are talking to me and explaining stuff directly to me, even though you dont know me. keep up the great work. i'm gonna finish my updates and finish watching this video.

I came across your videos while contemplating trying linux again. When I was in high school I was introduced to Fedora Core 6. Yeah...6. I went in and out of my linux phases, tried it, went back to windows, tried it, went back to windows. Well anyway, I decided to see what version of Fedora was out and I wasn't surprised to see version 16. But before I jumped on it i wanted to read some reviews and see where i should start to get into linux. I came across some videos
