In August 1990, the well-known Persian singer M.R. Shajarian and his ensemble including Morteza Ayan, Daryush Pirniakan and Jamshid Andalibi visited the home of Ostad Mahmoud Zoufonoun around the time they performed at the Flint Center in Cupertino (the recording of that concert is on YouTube). M.R. Lotfi and other musicians also attended.
This excerpt (in 3 parts on Youtube) from one of the videos taken that historic evening is of an avaz (free flow improvisation) in the dastgah (mode) of nava performed by Ramin Zoufonoun on Persian-tuned piano and of course, Ostad Shajarian on vocal.
In the end of the last segment, Ostad Zoufonoun and Ostad Lotfi can be seen sitting together, and Ostad Shajarian can be heard commenting to Mr. Zoufonoun, "I couldn't resist singing with this young man's piano...he sounds just like [Ostad Morteza] Mahjoobi."

Beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing all these wonderful videos. The Zolfonoon family make all of us Iranians very proud. Bravo.
