A BEAUTIFUL CAR TO DRIVE AT NIGHT, THE GLOW OF THE DIALS, THE COMFORT OF THE SEATS AND THE SOUND SYSTEM IS AMAZING, I bought my golf because of this advert and never regreted it, It puts the New golf cabriolet to shame.

IMO: What makes this spot so effective, is that it doesn't really really foist the car on the viewer. A very smooth soft-sell. Instead, you get caught up on the experiences of the passengers surrounded by all this natural beauty at night. I think this is one of the best adverts in many, many years.
I don't have VW Cabrio but, thankfully for me, I do in fact have a Convertible. I may even get to enjoy it more this year.

A shame this beautifully filmed ad came out in the dial-up days of the internet... when compressing and uploading 35mm film quality video was unheard of. If anyone has a copy of this commercial on VHS lying around, do the world a favor and upload a higher-quality version that isn't so pixilated and contrasty. Instant karma.
