@juba1944 Soviets actually walked out peacefully, no one ran. There was no point in the war anyways... Russians killed 1 million of the Afghans... So who ran?

@DinoPal Why would a country Invade then leave without taking there weapons with them?? The Towel heads your referring to are well known for not giving up. Would you ever stand up to a super powerful army? No you would not! The towel heads did just that, they gave the soviets a war they never saw coming. You keep asking for proof, what proof have you provided the soviets won?? A war with Afghanistan has become a sore point in Soviet and USA history.

Then Soviets withdrawed from it, they left proMoscow regime there with natioan army and weapons for 3 more years - sound like a win to me. By the way, what is the major battle the towelheads won against the Soviets???

@DinoPal You sound shocked, So tell me did the soviets win? Or did they run leaving everything behind? The Soviets failed to conquer Afghanistan, so has the USA & UK. The soviets went in with a major army and heavily armed yet still failed to win the war.

@11mrjarjar not really there are plenty of weapons out there now that are more accurate more realiable have less recoil and have a better round.
ak was the best all around weapon for many years but it has been overthrown in every catagory by todays weapons.
