I have worked with many muslims mostly in healthcare over the years and they have all been disgusted by the acts of terrorism committed in the name of 'allah'. The mentality behind such hatred is not typical of the core values of any muslim I have ever met, the vast majority of muslims are just ordinary people who have completely disassociated themselves from the beliefs of insane extremists which fuel acts of terrorism. I was born a catholic but didn't support IRA terrorism in the 70's/80's.

The vast majority of muslims do not wish those dead who deny the existence of a deity, only fanatical extremists. The bible and the koran demand death to non believers but with the advent of time both christians and muslims have chosen to ignore such outdated demands. I personally dislike religion because it can be taken too literally by those who would be psychopaths whether they believed in a god or not. The fanatics just use religion as an excuse to vent their hatred on specific targets.
