An elegant bun is a red-carpet classic -- but classic can be boring. We're turning the heat up on this iconic look by adding some curls and volume. Here's how to get the look at home.


How-to:


To achieve volume, start by curling section of your hair with a 1-1/4" curling iron. Pin your curls up and let them set for 10-15 minutes to achieve maximum volume.


Gently release the pins. With your fingers, comb through your hair to break up any tight curls.


Gently use your fingers to brush your tresses back, using a light touch of hairspray if needed.


With a set of bobby pins, start gathering and pinning your tresses into a ponytail.


Loosely back-comb the ponytail to create more texture.


The key to this fabulous style it to have a neatly undone look. To achieve the perfect amount of mess, grab small sections of hair and pin them into a loose, low bun, making sure the bun isn't pinned too tightly.


Before the final touches, grab a mirror and make sure there aren't any loose ends sticking out. If there, pin them in.


To secure your look, lightly mist with hairspray.

why bother yourself with those bobbypins? just use an elastic band, it doesnt show coz the bun will cover it, and whats up with the flyaway hair in the front, it could have used some hairspray as well, her hair was even better before all this trouble, sorry i have seen better.
