(Pardon my Italian...)

  • Nice slow motion, but I would like to see the

movement in real time. Wonderful start.

  • I stronlgy recommend the brand new DVD "A study in Movement" by Arne Haugaard and Bent Branderup! There they show all the gaits in real time, slow motion and high speed recording with Bent's comments on top! You'll find link to the trailer on my channel!

  • wow......what a gorgeous horse... did any one else notice that he has a rope arund the horses near front leg? and he's pulling up on it...

  • There are obviously no pulling of ropes here. This is a horse, not a marionette...

What you should notice, though, is the way the horse shifts his weight from the front to his hinds. That shift is what makes this school exercise possible. :)

  • @Maegshorsejump What you see is the reins anging. Check again.

  • @Maegshorsejump I think you mixed it with the reins.. it looks a bit like that, yeah. But I'd say Bent Branderup wouldn't use such... "stupid" things..

    No harm meant! ;)

  • Wauw, exellent control, beautiful horse.

  • Utroligt smukt ..

  • I recomend all of Bent Branderups books and teaching videos. I think they are essential to all riders.

Traverse and reverse are so much more importent to riding than most people know.

  • nice work. get him to actually hold it for a couple seconds and you will then have a levade. but he has to have a moment of balance and stillness. But very nice otherwise.
