Those who say Fascism is "far right" don't understand the true nature of fascism.

I dont know about that. Did'nt the Nazi's seize property and distribute it to their friends in the Government, only the rich made out in the seizure. I know you are not comparing the Nazi's to the Right in America today but it seems that you dont realize that Obama and friends are on the way to doing such things. They have already fired a CEO, taken over the Census, bailed out banks and insurance co's. and now making us pay more in energy taxes in the name of their programs. Scary stuff.

@shumich Hey, nice reply. I concur per se and see that you are being sincere and that's always appreciated. Yes, I did notice you made more than a few salient and correct points and should have acknowleged same. Thanks for being a good cut n thrust sport. You are welcome to comment unmoderated at my shabby blog. All the best. Colonel Robert Neville blogspot com.

@gmakepiece Just read my other posts. We're not all that different. You and I are both guilty of "incoherent scattergun ad hominem laced with logical fallacy", but if you stop and read both our posts, they make sense. I'm not telling you you're all wrong about everything. Consider how the words "liberalism" and "liberal" are wildly misused by pundits like Goldberg. We're starting to live in a "PUNDITOCRACY". I'd love it if we could debate that. Leftists are progressives not liberals.

Your response indicates that you haven't read many of my posts. I'm both liberal and conservative btw. Goldberg's book is sensationalistic, low-brow conservatism. Burke and Buckley must be rolling in their graves. I actually do make a ton of people laugh. You can check my facebook page if u want proof. Liberalism is supposed to be about liberty. Yes, liberals in US today threaten liberty. "Life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of happiness". Call the left something else other than liberal. Progressive?

@BellaKoei Ask shumich to post a focused repsonse with quotes to Goldberg's book. HE CANNOT. Ask shumich to post his relevent reading list, his favourite websites & writers etc. At best you'll get his undergraduate list. He will post logical fallacy obsfucations. It;ll be a grand joke. Pure tedious phony gold. As a left liberal. He will not know a single actual conservative. He knows NOTHING of conservatives except what he was indoctrinated to think by the dominant left liberal MOB mind.
-
@BellaKoei Sadly 'shumich' won't have read the book at all. 'shumich is a left liberal. The image of left liberals being educated, well read & smart is created by left liberals. After 12 years online virtually every left liberal, Marxist & Islamofascist et al, can NEVER focus where someone is allegedly wrong & counter with a shred of empirical evidence via a book, a site, an article, an analyst or an author etc, etc. Left liberals go straight to scattergun logical fallacy ad hominem etc.
-
@shumich Excellent laughably incoherent scattergun ad hominem laced logical fallacy. Five stars! Er, so it doesn't matter who "marries" who then, but the number "marrying", being randomly per se set at two, does? Why? Are you a "hick whining about how" polygamy, group, child, animal and object "marriage" will make you "want to vomit"? Bravo. Why, I do believe YOU are a humourless and witless yet vastly unread "political extremist". You are a left liberal.
-
@BellaKoei Cool because you know both left and right politicians in America contradict themselves constantly. It's ok though. I'm a liberal on somethings and conservative on others. I really don't care about gay marriage. I don't care either way about abortion either. I'm just neutral. Those are cultural issues, Now, when it comes down to economics and politics, you know things get ugly. I think we should all try to be more moderate and understanding of different viewpoints as we age.
-
@shumich That's literally exactly my point.
I don't want to say that Obama and Co. are nazis, but I will say, like the Nazis, they're drunk with power.

I think a lot of you guys here are getting Socialism and Fascism confused. Hitler was very Fascist even if he was'nt Socialist. I am not going to run to the dictionary but Fascism pertains Any Governing Body that seeks and atains control over a population of people through forced ideas and ideals. I.E. "Its good to pay more taxes in order to subsidize programs that will make you either more healthy or better 'taken care of.'" Its more about control than anything else.

Actually, roofer10, the Nazi party was the "National Socialist German Workers Party". Socialism was right in the title of the party. It cracks me up now when people try to tell me Fascism is right-wing authoritarianism gone awry. Nope. Read your history. Read "Liberal Fascism".
