Anybody want a video of a Verizon driver holding up traffic due to texting for over 20 miles this morning?

If we can sue cigarette companies because they provide cigarettes that cause cancer, why can't we sue the phone companies and phone makers for providing us the technology to kill ourselves and others?

This shouldn't even be an issue. It's common sense not to take your eyes off the road to text someone while driving... *sigh* people, I swear. -_-

Great point that texts, emails, and even phone calls can wait until we are no longer driving. This is an interesting use of technology to address this rising problem of texting while driving. I think that eventually there will be a variety of methods employed to prevent texting and driving.

driver is doing it, and won't let me do the texting for them. I have to constantly tell them what color the light is, if there's someone in front of them, to slow down for speed zones, balblablabla. Fucking annoying. I'm a passenger, life is in the driver's hands, yet too preoccupied with the damn phone. I worry for them driving alone and texting. Jesus. Some people only learn "the hard way" but I really don't want anyone to have to learn the lesson dealing with this crap.

I don't think you should text at all while driving. If you are able to pay attention and talk on your phone with your right hand so you can still use your turn single with your left hand, and keep calls short, i don't think it's a big deal. Not to mention new technology in cars and phones you can speaker phone that shit and have an app that when you say "call so and so" or "answer call" it'll do it for you. I hate when people text while driving. I hate it even worse when I'm a passenger and the

This is a bad idea for the fact what do you think will happen if a teenager is trying to text or call someone and it's not working? They'll get pissed and start messing with the phone trying to figure out why it's not working which could distract them worse than if they just texted...
