I believe you were passing judgment on me--that's where this discussion started. And I believe you greatly underestimate the assistance you have received from broader society to get where you are today. Did you go to a well-funded public school? Receive a scholarship to college? Go to a state university?  Get a tax break for some investment you made, etc. etc. I forgot, you DESERVED all the breaks you got.

Living in fear is believing that you will never be able to provide for yourself without the help of the government, have healthcare without the help of the government, save for retirement without the help of the government, pick youself up after failure without the help of the government, buy a home without the help of the government, pay for college without the help of the government. Ya see Haley, when I went to college I paid roughly $50 a credit, that same school now is about $550 a credit. What's the difference, well the government is now so involved in higher education and use it just as they use Social Security(which is going bankrupt), Medicare and Medicaid(which are going bankrupt), HUD and ACORN(which tanked the housing market) shall I go on?, as cach cows to increase their inept and ever destructive power. Ah yes, the liberal standard talking point "public education" Yes I went to a "FREE" public school paid for with my parents property taxes which are so high now to pay for that "FREE" public education that it threatens their ability to stay in their home of 40 years. And trust me, my property taxes have paid for my education 10X over. As for college, the only money I received for that was scholarships based upon academic excellence which I competed for with other high academic achievers.
