his pronunciation (of Latin) is fine, his technique is superb and let's remember that the fact that this aria was first sung by a castrato or not seems now immaterial... so shut up!

Absolutely SUPERB PRIMA VOCE.... FOR THOSE WHO COMMENTED ON MR. DANIELS NEGATIVELY, SHAME ON YOU FOR YOU IGNORANCE... MYSELF BEING A YOUNG COUNTERTENOR I CAN FIRST TELL YOU IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO SING COLORATURA. HIS STAMINA, PROJECTION, AIR FLOW, AND EXQUISITE ARTICULATION PUTS ALL OF YOUR COMMENTS TO SHAME. DAVID IS FIRST AND FOREMOST NOT OF OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER COUNTERTENORS HE IS THE ONE AT THE MET OPERA HOUSE AND THE ONE WITH A LABEL.. REMEMBER THAT.

I wish I can find Intorno all'idol mio by Daniels on YT. This I think is the best he has done.

This Vivaldi motet is, for me, the most beautiful thing David Daniels did so far... This first aria is not so great, but the lento aria that follows is just killing me...
According to some of my friends who are opera experts, his technique and breathing control in that piece is similar to the one of Joan Sutherland... But one may still find his voice not beautiful and him not well prepared... a matter of opinion I suppose !
