Think you're missing his point, which is to illustrate the much more pronounced pointing in the Strathclyde playing, which certainly gives the music real bounce. Yes it's a matter of taste but there is a real difference there.....
What a lot of complete TOSH Wallace speaks here. Field Marshal today is so much superior in music, tone, and execution to anything Strathclyde produced in the 1980's. The difference is immense in every department.
