[may's POV]
i walked into the hospital, not paying any attention, i saw doctor massa walk out of a room.
'doctor massa ! where's bella ?' i yelled, i ran over to him and he directed me into the room he had jsut come out of. OH MY ! what ? what's wrong with her ?, what's happened to julie ? i thought.
'so doc, what's up with julie then ?' i asked. looking over at her, hugging bella lightly.
'oh nothing, she's just sleeping.' he answered with a slight smile. i smiled back and sat down next to bella. i started talking to her, hoping she could hear me.
as i carried on talking i could feel myself starting to fall asleep, max had driven me here, the whole time telling me some weird story about an elephant and a greenfly, i wasn't really listening, i just liked being in his company.
i looked at the door as it opened and i saw max walk in. i got up and walked out of the door and called his name, he smiled and came over to me and gave me a quick hug.
'thanks' i said.
'what for ?' he asked, he genuinally looked confused.
'for being here with me,' i answered hoping that our conversation would stop because i was too afraid of it going further after what happened back at the house.
'don't worry about it, oh um hey, what were you saying earlier ?' crap, he remembered, i started to tell him how i felt, but i stopped after you're my best friend and.. i couldn't tell him i loved him, i never could, could i ?
'oh nothing, don't worry.' i answered, hoping he'd let it drop. but of course i was wrong.
'no no come on, you have to tell me, after all i am your best friend.' he said with a smile from ear to ear.
[max's POV]
i really wanted to know what she was going to say, she was my best friend too, but maybe the difference was that i loved her, but she didn't love me, that'd just be perfect ! i thought.
'well..' she started. i needed to know, i needed her to know it was okaii, that nothing would change our friendship because i love her.
'come on you can tell me,' was all i could think of at the time.
'okaii, well, look, we've been friends like what, 3, 4 years now ? and i, i just,' she sighed, come on ! i thought, what is she trying to say ! what doesn't she want me to know ? what's she afraid of ?! 'look, i love you.' she finally said.
my smile grew i could feel it, i pulled her clsoe and kissed her, i had wanted to do that for so long, the feeling was amazing and i didn't want it to end, maybe now she knew how i felt, hopefully she wouldn't ask me to say it.
'well, i think i know what you were going to say,' she said with a smile across her face, her smile was so radiant and lovely, it brought out everything in her, like her bubbliness, i wanted to kiss her again, but just as i was about to move to kiss her again julie woke up.
'hey guys,' she said looking at bella. we moved apart.
'hey julie, have a nice sleep ?' i asked.
'the best, oh and hey may, you remember that ambulance that pulled up ?'
'yeahh ?' she said.
'i know who it was in it.' julie said with a semi smile on her face.
'so it was someone we know, okaii, tell me, who was it ?' asked may now interested in the conversation.
'frankie !.' she screeched.
'frankie, hmm, OH MY ! not frankie frankie !' she said, i was lost in the conversation already.
'yeah frankie frankie, the whole family was here, well other than joe, he thought it was his fault whatever happened to frankie.' she said.
'no wayyy !' may said. i'd lost her, she was into the conversation, so i left them to it. may was happy talking to julie about some frankie person and to be honest i was happy that she was now happy, but i hadn't asked her to be my girlfriend, it was just a kiss, a kiss can mean anything. DAMN IT ! i thought to myself, i should of asked her.
