College Project: Asteroids Infiltration

This is my college project in the advanced Game Maker class. It is a spin on the classic Asteroids game. It makes use of a minimap to keep track of targets in a playfield that scrolls with the ship.

Your ship can upgrade its main gun, and it has a limited-use Laser Cannon.

Controls use the mouse and keyboard.

There are three levels. The first two levels are standard Asteroid fields with UFOs appearing. The third level is the final level, which is a maze-type enemy base. It has key hunts and an end boss battle.

The music in the levels all come from Einhander. The level clear theme is "Victory Jubilee" from Dynasty Warriors 5.

Are the final level's turret enemies from the R-Type gun ring?

Yep. There is a spritesheet full of R-Type enemies and items that I got the Gondolan gun thing.

hahaha great, great! I always loved the old asteroids game, but even some of the remakes I saw it was always the same gameplay, just the ship and bullets, but this is just great, you can't go wrong with shoop da whoop style lasers and other shooting styles, it looks fun, hmm is there a link to download it or did you release yet? I would like to play this in the dead times in my job :P
