  • really nice tune ive never heard it before but it does carry nicely

  • We have an old English folksong, possibly dating from the 16th Century, of the same name but a very different tune, which I learned when at school in the 1950's. I would assume that perhaps it crossed to the U.S. with the early settlers and has been locally modified! I will see if I can find words and score and email to you for comparison.
