  • I was in my mid-30s when I placed my newborn daughter for adoption 8 yrs ago this month. I applaud you for your strength and courage you have in making this Unselfish decision. I wish you well!

  • Thank you for sharing! Also a birthmother, here. Adoption was my saving grace! We keep in contact occasionally and I am VERY content with my decision. She'll be 9 this month :-)

  • This is a great video. I'm a birth mother. I was 16 when I got pregnant. I moved out of my house and went to live with foster parents and decided to place. I see "Bunny" all the time. Its been 2 years and it was hard, but I know this is where she belongs :)

  • Wow I am so grateful you would share your story. I am thinking of adopting, I have 3 bio girls and am able to have children, yet I still feel adoption is for us. I am so much for open adoption the more I learn about it. Thanks again!

  • I am not sure why there are some thumbs down on these comments, but I can't tell you how I know what a strong and UNselfish thing it is to give your baby to a family that can not have children and so desperately want them. My daughter did the same thing you did and we have similar beautiful pictures of all of them together. The parents of those raising the baby are also extremely generous to let the birthmoms be a part of that childs life. I am sure the children will be happy about that deci.

  • What a mature decision you made for you and your son at such a young age. I admire your strength and willingness to choose adoption. I am an adoptive mother, and while the birth mother who gave me CallieBeth situation was much different from yours, I will always admire the choice she made for her child. She does not want contact with us, but I am intouch with her sister whom CallieBeth calls Aunt Sherry. Thank you for sharing your story:)

  • This brings back so many memories. I hope lots of people see this and will be able to truly understand just how UNselfish it is to choose adoption. Thank you for sharing!!

  • Thanks for sharing

  • I love your video. Thank you for your insight into open adoption... We are the adoptive parents of a beautiful little girl thru open adoption.
